Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing a garage door opener from Chamberlain. Our products are manufactured according to strict quality standards. Therefore, we guarantee, under the terms of this warranty, that the electric motors of the garage door openers listed below (hereinafter referred to as the “Product”) will be free from material and manufacturing defects for the period specified in the table below from the date of first purchase (“Warranty Period”) (durability warranty):

 

The warranty does not cover other components of the product or the product as a whole.
Defects of this kind reported by the purchaser within the warranty period will be remedied at our discretion and at our expense by repair or replacement with new or refurbished parts. This does not constitute a new warranty. Further claims are excluded. This particularly applies to claims for damages, regardless of the legal basis. This exclusion does not apply in cases of injury to life, body, or health, or if we act intentionally or with gross negligence. The above exclusion of liability also does not apply if we are liable under the Product Liability Act or if we breach essential contractual obligations that jeopardize the purpose of the warranty.

The warranty provided by Chamberlain GmbH is in addition to the statutory rights you have against your seller in the event of product defects. Your statutory rights are not limited by this warranty or by the occurrence of a warranty case.

All claims under this warranty (both the primary claim and any secondary claims arising after repair or replacement) expire within 12 months. The limitation period for the primary warranty claim begins when you become aware of or are grossly negligently unaware of the defect. The limitation period for secondary claims begins upon delivery of the repaired or replaced product to you.

Warranty claims are valid only if:

• The product shows no damage or wear caused by use that deviates from normal use and our specifications as per the installation and operating instructions.
• The product shows no signs of repairs or other interventions not expressly authorized by us.
• Only accessories authorized by us have been installed in the product.

Procedure in the event of a warranty claim:

Contact the dealer or tradesperson from whom you purchased the product within the warranty period and present the purchase receipt. They will handle the warranty claim for you.
The warranty does not cover the costs of removal and reinstallation of the product.

This warranty applies worldwide to the extent described above and under the listed conditions, and only upon presentation of the proof of purchase (original invoice, receipt, or payment confirmation) from an authorized retailer or tradesperson. The proof must include at least the purchase date and the name and address of the retailer or tradesperson.
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the product. If the original purchaser sells the product (e.g., via a platform like eBay or Amazon) to another buyer, this warranty is not transferable.

This warranty is subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
