Why a radio keypad makes sense


  • A wireless keypad for motorized garage door drives not only makes it easier to open and close the garage doors every day, but also serves as a reliable security key. The motorized garage drive system is conveniently activated with the four-digit PIN code and is only reserved for those who receive the access code. This means that other selected people can also gain access using a temporary PIN, even if no one is at home.

    Waiting for hours for packages, tradesmen or friends who want to put out the drinks for the next barbecue is a thing of the past. Even when the children arrive home, access with a wireless keypad is easier and safer than with a handheld transmitter, which is easy to lose. You can easily change the PIN code at regular intervals so that no one can gain unauthorized access to your garage or house.

    The radio keypad can be installed in just a few minutes and only requires two screws. When it comes to the installation height, you should consider whether, for example, children should also be able to enter using the code. In this case, the radio code lock should be installed a little lower. A height of 1 to 1.50 m is usually the most convenient solution.
  • setup and PIN assignment
    Once the radio system is installed, all that is left is to assign a personal PIN code. There is a "learning button" on the gate's drive system. Once it has been pressed, the PIN can be assigned and activated by holding down the Enter key. If you hold down the hash key after entering the PIN code, you can then assign a new PIN and set it up with Enter.
    For a temporary PIN, first enter the main code and then hold down the star key to activate the limited code. Then type in the temporary PIN and press Enter to activate it. To set a precise period for the limited PIN, enter the validity period in hours and activate the timer with the star key. The drive system indicates the activation or change of the respective codes by lighting up an LED lamp.
